Mini Art Show March 3rd

My First Mini Art Show of 2012 is coming on Saturday, March 3rd at 11 EST!
A whole series of new mini paintings will be available right here on this very blog! Just go to "Available Mini Paintings" on Saturday March 3rd at 11 EST, and there you will find a robotic Lady, a Foxy Fox, and a Royal Frog, to name a just a few. Don't worry, there will be many more as well (I'm currently taking a little break from painting an adorable hedge hog, if I do say so myself...)! These are some of my favorite ones yet!
As always, they come with their very own Mini Certificate of Authenticity and will be shipped to you in a gift box. (Please note, since the frames I find are of varying sizes and shapes, some of the gift boxes will differ in appearance to accommodate for this.)
Happy Mini Art Collecting!!

My Final Mini Art Show of 2011 is coming this Saturday, November 12th at 11 EST!!! They will be available right here on this very blog! Just go to "Available Mini Paintings" and there you will find 30 (THIRTY!! Do you know how long this took me??? A really long time. And I can't wait for you to see them!) brand new Mini Paintings for you to get just in time for the Holidays! They really do make the most perfect gift since they are one of a kind, original oil portraits done by yours truly.
Let's see, we have a bespectacled spider, a Chef-Bot, a sassy unicorn from the 60s, a bull in a china shop (where else??), an adorable married mouse couple ( I seem to be doing one of these every year), a very cranky kitty, a Santa-Bot (of course!!) and many, many more. And for the first time ever, I have painted three larger portraits just because I found the perfect frames for a couple of Snazzy Bots and one cat loving dog.
So stay tuned for this Saturday, Nov 12th at 11 EST!
Happy Mini Art shopping my dear Mini Art connoisseurs!

Meaghan Smith EPIPHONE GUITAR GIVE AWAY WINNER!!!

I do truly wish I had hundreds of guitars to give away. So many of you have shared such touching stories! Stories of people borrowing guitars, people playing music to help them heal from difficult experiences, lost or damaged guitars, upcoming and fantastic new talented peeps who could use a better instrument, more experienced but just as talented peeps who could use a new guitar… I really wish I could give one to you all. Choosing just one of you was an extremely difficult task for me and I want you to know that I didn't take it lightly. I read every single entry and there were over two hundred! My heart and hope goes out to each of you that you will get your dream guitar some day soon!
But as for this Epiphone Masterbilt AJ-500R guitar… I think it belongs to a program called Sketch.
I had never heard of Sketch before I got this simple message from Lynn Hubbs. She wrote. " Hi Meaghan, I heard about your generous guitar offer. I am a volunteer at SKETCH, an open arts studio for street engaged and homeless youth. Kids can record and jam. It's a wonderful place. Many people would benefit from your gift. All the best, Lynn."
Then I checked out their website and really saw what they are about. Art and music to help address homelessness and poverty for youth. As many of you know, I'm also a visual artist. Art and music have played a HUGE role in my life. I don't know where I would be without the opportunities I had while growing up to express myself. And knowing that this guitar is going to be played by many hands who need an opportunity to make songs and art out of their challenges makes my heart feel good.
Thank you all so much for telling me about your guitar hopes and dreams. And thank you Junos for giving me the chance to give this guitar away! I feel so lucky all the time and am always thankful for you all.
Happy playing!
xoxo
